Eurasia - Increase in official fees as of February 1, 2025

The Eurasian Patent Office has announced that it will increase its official fees regarding patents as of February 1, 2025. The fees for designs will remain unchanged.

The official fee for filing a Eurasian patent application with up to five claims will in future amount to RUB 60,000, constituting an increase of 20 percent. For a patent application with more than five claims, the official fee will rise from RUB 5500 to RUB 6500 for each claim from the 6th, from RUB 6000 to RUB 7000 for each claim from the 21st and from RUB 7000 to RUB 7500 for each claim from the 51st.

With respect to the examination procedure, the official examination fee for the first independent claim will also increase by 20 percent to RUB 60,000, the official examination fee for the second independent claim will increase from RUB 30,000 to RUB 35,000 and the official examination fee for the third and each subsequent independent claim will increase from RUB 15,000 to RUB 20,000.

The official fee for grant and publication for an application with up to 35 pages will rise by approximately 30 percent from RUB 30,000 to RUB 40,000.
