Euromarkpat Germany

Our patent attorney firm was founded in 1964 by Otmar Dittmann and Dr. Alexander von Füner; shortly thereafter Karl-Ludwig Schiff joined as the third partner.

The working team was increased when Mr Strehl and Dr. Schübel-Hopf as well as Dieter Ebbinghaus joined in 1970 and 1972, respectively. Their qualifications now rendered it possible to work in all technical fields. Since Dr. von Füner and Mr Ebbinghaus had excellent command of the Russian language, they soon started concentrating part of their work on providing services concerning protection of industrial property in what was then the Soviet Union. After the lamentable untimely death of Mr Dittmann in 1975 and the retirement of Mr Schiff for age reasons, Dr. Dieter Finck joined the working team in 1977. Within this working team Mr Ebbinghaus and Mr Finck founded a partnership in 1979, which was joined by Dr. von Füner as the third member in 1980. The firm then did business under the name von Füner Ebbinghaus Finck.

The collapse of the Soviet Union required a massive amount of effort to safeguard the intellectual property of the clients for which the firm acted as intermediate representative not only in Russia but also in the other CIS states which had emerged by then. This situation gave rise to the foundation of a separate office in Moscow and another one in Kiev in 1992/93. These offices did business under the name of Euromarkpat from the very beginning. In time, further cooperation offices were added in Albania, Uzbekistan, Estonia and Mongolia. In October 2007, another office was opened in Kosovo.

After completing his training as a patent attorney candidate in the firm, Mr Christian Hano, PE, became a partner in 1994. Mr Nicolai von Füner was also trained in our firm as a candidate and became a partner in 1999. At the end of the year 2002 Mr Alexander von Füner and Mr Ebbinghaus retired from the firm for age reasons, Dr. Finck did likewise at the end of the year 2007. In January 2008 we welcomed Sergey Sloboshanin, Ph.D. (Physics) as a partner of the firm, who has meanwhile qualified as a German and European patent attorney.

The EUROMARKPAT patent attorney firm, which currently does business under the name von Füner Ebbinghaus Finck Hano, on the one hand is able to work in all relevant technical fields and to reliably work with you and represent you in these fields, due to the excellent technical background of the partners. On the other hand, we can also work in special fields such as biogenetics and the like with the aid of experts in these fields who work in our cooperation offices and who have the required special know-how. About 40 staff currently work in our Munich office, with the paralegals and secretaries speaking three languages as a rule, being either native speakers or having a university degree in the corresponding languages.
